B- 1.The Alamo The Alamo is simply
stated, another bloodless war
movie, glorified and sent to Holly
Wood as to make sure that it not
offend any single person living in
the United States. Held only
together by a convincing
performance by Billy Bob Thornton
(Davie Crockett). Although some
decently portrayed scenes and
cinematography that intensifies the
"desire" for Texas, this movie is as
racially bias as the "fact-less" "
B+ 2.Dawn of the Dead This is an
entertaining blood bath of a movie
that will keep you on your toes while
vividly recreating a 1970s style
horror genre without, taking itself
too seriously. You will laugh equally
as much as you shriek in this
exciting tale of mayhem.

B+ 3.Eternal Sunshine Similar to other
screen plays of Charlie Kaufman
(Being John Malkovich, Adaptation
etc.), this movie tells a simple tale,
with a complex twist. It is the
surprisingly interesting story of two
morally depressed people, who fall
in love, but lose the passion over
time and decide to receive surgery
to rid their minds of the memories.
This movie is a funny, yet dramatic
role for Jim Carry as with a film with
great prospects and teachings of
the "human mind." This movie will
certainly entertain the most
common of movie goers as with
touch your heart and mind as
Kaufman's work tends to do.

B+ 4.In America In America is a well
performed accomplishment, that
may lift your spirits or leave you in
tears. It is the heartwarming story of
an Irish family living in America,
struggling with money, love and the
loss of their third recent child. This
pleasant drama is interesting from
the moment it starts, to the moment
it closes and from within the
boundaries of potential truism, it
succeeds gracefully and witty. This
is a movie for the people who thrive
on emotion or simply desire a
desirable film.

B- 5.Jersey Girl A surprisingly tolerable
film, far from any form of typical
romantic comedy. In my opinion not
one at all for it focuses on no
relationship as it does with Ben
Afflack's character, his father and
daughter. A movie watchable, yet
not necessary to see in the theater,
that will sooth the weak hearted and
provide a few laughs to those who
aren't.

B+ 7.The LadyKillers This yet another
great and wildly funny film by the
Coen brothers. Although not my
favorite selection of thir
accomplishments, a fine addition to
the collection. Tom Hanks's
character along with several other
well developed personalities, one
of which played by Marlon Wayans,
are in excellent chemistry and
provide a sturdy comedic genius to
this film that will hook your attention
and leave you warm hearted. One
of this years first good comedies,
certainly worth  seeing.

A- 8. Monster A gripping tale of a
prostitute turned "psycho path"
serial killer, Monster will chill the
bones, yet leave you somehow
vivaciously stunned. Charlize
Theron, sporting a surprisingly
different role than her work in
movies such as "Sweet November"
and "The Italian Job," delivers a
high impact, Oscar worthy
performance, making this
thriller-drama, easily one of the best
movies this year.

B  9. Spartan Spartan is a decently
entertaining thriller/kidnap,
prostitution, and political
propaganda and simple hard on
suspense film, portrayed well by
long missed action star, Val Kilmer.
Its entertaining and keeps you
interested and is definitely worth
seeing, but not the top on my list.

B 10. Starsky and Hutch  Starsky and
Hutch is an entertaining onslaught
of tongue and cheek humor offering
a mild taste of the original 1970s
TV show. All though fairly cliché, it
remains warm hearted and often
funny as officer Starsky (Ben Stiller)
and officer Hutchinson (Owen
Wilson) display decent chemistry
and an overall working comedy
routine.

11. The Whole Ten Yards D- Words
cannot describe the horridness of
The Whole Ten Yards. This movie
is not only lousy and typically cliché,
but it takes those commonly done
routines and projects them horribly.
Mathew Perry is not only unfunny,
but is almost painful to watch ( a tap
dancing squirrel would seem to be
more entertaining). A scene where
Bruce Willis tries to play a drunk
depressed man, sobbing his eyes
out, actually brought tears to my
eyes, as i was witnessing the
downfall of a "movie star" who
already had little to his name. This
movie makes Mystic River look like
comedy hour.
