1. During the shooting of the first movie,
Sean Astin (Sam), cut his foot on a piece of
glass submerged within a river and had to be
flight lifted to a hospital.
2. In the original theatrical version of the
Fellowship, when Sam and Frodo are
walking past a scarecrow, in the backdrop a
car quickly passes. This was later fixed for
home release.
1. It is believed that the item contained within
the mysterious briefcase is actually
Marcellus Wallace's soul. This came to
thought due to three curious clues; One,
Marcellus has a bandage on the back of his
head which is where it is believed a soul
must be taken, two, the combination to the
briefcase is 666, and finally, the obvious
golden glow which is labeled in the movie as
"beautiful." This theory has not been
confirmed.
2. The scene where Uma Thurman traces a
square in the air with her fingers is taken
directly from an episode of The Flintstones
(the same episode in which Pebbles and
Bam-Bam sing "Let the Sun Shine In").
3. When Butch is approaching his apartment,
there is a news report on the radio, saying
that there was a fight at Jack Rabbit Slim's
and that a man and a woman stole the trophy
for the dance competition. Suggesting that
Mia and Vincent did not in fact win, but stole
the dance trophy.
